Vivo Y51L launched in India for Rs 11,980

The device is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
Chinese smartphone vendor Vivo has launched its Y51L Android smartphone in India at Rs 11,980. According to Vivo, the Y51L is the first model of this year from the company which will be assembled at its manufacturing plant in Greater Noida.
Vivo Y51L has a 5-inch IPS display with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution, and is powered by the 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor which is coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs the company's FunTouch OS 2.5 that is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and is backed by a 2350mAh Li-Po battery.
The Y51L has an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a flash light and a 5-megapixel front camera. It has 16 GB of internal memory that can be further expanded using a micro SD card of 128 GB. This dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE connectivity as well. The device measures 143.8x71.7x7.52 mm and weighs 157 grams. It has GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and a micro USB port.
Commenting on the launch, Alex Feng, chief executive officer, Vivo India, said "The Indian smartphone market is tech savvy and price sensitive. The affordable segment is the growth driver, as the young generation today looks for a phone which is best in features, beautiful in design and is priced competitively. Last year, we witnessed huge sales and positive demand for products in the budget range across markets, which boosted us to launch the Y51L. The new launch will further strengthen our hold on the market and help us establish ourselves among our consumers."
