Lava P7 launched at Rs 5,499 with promise of Android Marshmallow

The device is powered by a 62 bit 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 1 GB RAM.
Lava Mobiles today announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone, Lava P7, at Rs 5,499. The device is available at all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and e-commerce platforms, said Lava.
The Lava P7 comes with a 5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with FWVGA (854x480 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It weighs just 133 grams and is 8mm thick. The handset comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a guaranteed upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.2 GHz quad core processor which coupled with 1 GB RAM should offer decent performance. The device has 16 GB of internal memory and 32 GB expandable storage slot.
The dual SIM Lava P7 is backed by 2000 mAh battery iwth Power saver mode that claims to offer up to 20 hours of talktime. In terms of camera, it sports a 5-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There are other features in the device like Multi-Point Touch, Custom & Drawing Gestures and Smart Wake-up. For connectivity, this dual SIM handset offers WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB and GPS.
The Lava P7 is available in White, Blue, and Gold (With Pearl Finish) colours.
