BLACKBERRY LAUNCHES ITS FIRST ANDROID SMARTPHONE IN INDIA

BlackBerry launches its first Android smartphone in India
The much-awaited flagship by BlackBerry has finally hit the Indian shores. Dubbed as the BlackBerry Priv, the device is one of its own kinds. The device will be available with a price tag of Rs 62,990 and will go on sale starting from January 30.
What makes the device so special is the physical keyboard. This came as a blessing for those who doesn’t like typing on a touchscreen and want to feel the real click of keys. All you have to do is just snap the slider open to reveal a full physical keyboard and start enjoying typing session.  Touch-enabled keyboard with gesture support and fine cursor control adds more charm to the device.
On the specification front, the device features a  5.4-inch dual-curve quad HD AMOLED display with a screen resolution of  2560×1440 pixels. The device is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor which is clocked at 1.8GHz, a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB. On the camera front, the BlackBerry Priv comes with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified 18-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash. It also sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers.
BlackBerry opting for an Android-based phone is a HUGE step. Priv is the first-ever BlackBerry smartphone to run Android OS. Also, the Priv is the perfect blend of BlackBerry protection on an Android device. The device also comes pre-loaded with a slew of BlackBerry apps such as BBM, BlackBerry Device Search, DTEK by BlackBerry, BlackBerry Notes and BlackBerry Password Keeper, along with Google apps such as Chrome, Google Drive, Maps and Photos among others.
